European Champions League finalists Manchester United and Barcelona are both preparing to go shopping this summer in France to get the services of Ghana's highly rated midfielder Andre Ayew from French side Marseille, according to Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport. The Italian newspaper revealed that Barcelona are set to offer nine million Euros for the 21-year-old's services. "I am delighted to be linked with two powerhouses of world football. It means I have improved,” Ayew was quoted as saying on skysports.com. "It would be a dream to join one of them, but I am living the dream here with Marseille as well and also looking forward to a strong finish to the season," he added. The gifted midfielder has been a key figure for I'OM this season scoring 10 goals in 32 league appearances. The defending champions are just a point behind leaders Lille and coach Didier Deschamps is relying on his amazing skills to jump to the top spot. Ayew turned heads across Europe after the 2010 FIFA World Cup when he was named the man of the match for Ghana against United States in the Round 16. "The World Cup has made me realise my potential. It is a dream to play for Marseille and I love every minute of it," the son of one of Africa's greatest ever players, Abedi Pele, concluded.
