82 pct of Egyptians approve of El-Sisi's performance: Baseera
In a poll carried out by the Egyptian Centre for Public Opinion Research, eight percent of Egyptians said they disapprove of El-Sisi's performance, while 10 percent are undecided

A recent survey carried by an Egyptian polling centre revealed that 82 percent of Egyptians polled approve of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi's performance almost three months after his inauguration.
Carried out by the Egyptian Centre for Public Opinion Research (Baseera), eight percent in the poll said they disapprove of El-Sisi's performance while 10 percent were undecided.
According to the poll, 75 percent of the youth, ranging from 18 to 29 years old approve of El-Sisi, while 90 percent of the elderly, aged 50 and higher, approve of him.
The polled were also asked whether they would elect El-Sisi if presidential elections were held tomorrow. Seventy-eight percent said they would elect him, 11 percent said they wouldn't, and 11 percent said it depends on who else was running in the elections.
Concerning the security situation since El-Sisi's inauguration, 89 percent said security had improved, seven percent said there was no improvement, three percent said security worsened, and one percent were undecided.
As to security forces' treatment of citizens, a major concern and one of the reasons for the January 25 Revolution, 65 percent said it had improved, 20 percent were undecided, eight percent said it had worsened, and seven percent said it didn't change.
On traffic conditions since the president's inauguration, 69 percent said it improved, three percent said it worsened, 11 percent said it didn't change, while 17 percent were undecided.
The poll was conducted on a sample of 2,010 citizens, 18 and above, across all Egyptian governorates. The survey was conducted 26 and 28 August 2014.
According to Baseera, the margin of error in the survey is less than three percent.
This is the first poll by Baseera on El-Sisi's performance since his inauguration. He was inaugurated 8 June 2014 after a landslide victory in Egypt's presidential elections.
