Morsi espionage case adjourned, media gag order lifted
Cairo court has lifted the media ban on proceedings for trial in which ousted Islamist president is accused of colluding with foreign organisations to commit terrorism in Egypt

Cairo's criminal court on Sunday adjourned the espionage case of ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi and 35 other defendants to 14 September.
The court also lifted the trial's media ban, issued by Egypt's prosecutor-general in November 2013.
Morsi and 35 other Brotherhood leading figures stand accused of collaborating with foreign organisations – namely Gaza rulers Hamas, an ideological offshoot of the Brotherhood – to commit acts of terrorism in Egypt.
According to a statement from the prosecution, they have been accused of revealing defence secrets to a foreign country, funding terrorists and organising militant training "to achieve the purpose of the international organisation of the Brotherhood."
Morsi also faces a number of other charges in separate court cases, including counts of incitement to murder and breaking out of prison in 2011.
