A 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck Egypt's Cairo and Suez governorates in the early hours of Tuesday, the second of its kind in the past week, Reuter's Aswat Masriya reported. The quake took place at 5:03:44 am on Tuesday at a depth of 21 kilometers, head of Egypt's Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research, Hatem Ouda, told Aswat Masriya. The epicentre of the tremor was Hagool Valley, 100 kilometres east of Cairo and 45 kilometres from Suez governorate. No damage or injury was reported. This is the third quake, with Hagool Valley as its epicentre, to be felt in 18 days. Hagool Valley, is a zone of tectonic activity. However, its quakes are known to be mild and spaced apart.
