The Egyptian higher administrative court ruled on Saturday in favour of the universities' decision to ban the niqab (the face veil) during exams. A lower administrative court's decision to uphold the universities' decision to ban students wearing the niqab from sitting for exams was appealed by lawyer, Nizar Ghorab, on behalf of a number of fully veiled students from Cairo and Ain Shams universities. However, that appeal was denied today.
