Cairo University, Egypt's oldest and biggest educational institution, announced on Thursday it would allow veiled female students to attend exam rooms despite a court ruling to ban them from entering the exams until the take off their veils. "Niqab wearing students will be allowed into the exams in the university. However, female employees have to review their IDs," said Hossam Kamel, the president of the university. He added that the decision was made to make it easy for the veiled girls to attend the exams. "There could be special exam committees for those girls," said Kamel. The Administrative Court has issued many rulings banning female students wearing full-face veil from attending exams.
