The Ivory Coast midfielder hopes he will put the disappointment of failing to win individual awards behind him by helping Manchester City win the English Premier League on Sunday Having missed out on individual accolades, Yaya Toure is hoping a Premier League triumph for Manchester City will be the perfect finale to an impressive season for the in-form midfielder. Two awards from the Professional Footballers' Association and the Football Writers' Association were given to Liverpool's dazzling striker Luis Suarez, who beat off challenge from Toure to become the elite competition's best player. Toure, however, is on the brink of leading Man City to their second Premier League title in three seasons. The Citizens only need a draw in their final game against West Ham on Sunday to wrap up the title. “I'm disappointed with the PFA awards because I'm a competitor. But, as well, Luis Suarez has had an excellent season. He was very good. It was well deserved from him,” the 31-year-old was quoted as saying by Sky Sports on Friday. “It's not only me who was in the running for these awards, we have a number of players who have been excellent. The most important thing is trophies for the team. We always remind each other of that.” Toure has scored 20 Premier League goals so far, with his last one coming following a brilliant solo effort in City's 4-0 defeat of Aston Villa. “We definitely expect to win the title. We have worked so hard this season and if we don't win it, it would be a massive disappointment,” he added.
