EFA hands Ismaily's Antwi 4-match ban after El-Hodoud bust-up The Egyptian league's top scorer gets a four-match ban for misconduct in a match that resulted in four red cards
Ismaily's Ghanaian striker John Antwi was handed a four-match ban by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) following his behaviour during his side's goalless draw against Harras El-Hodoud on Monday. Antwi received a direct red card during Monday's violent game following his clash with El-Hodoud's midfielder Ahmed Sabry. The game saw four red cards – three for Harras El-Hodoud and one for Ismaily. The 22-year-old is one of the best players in the Egyptian League as he is leading the scorers' chart with 11 goals. He will miss the two remaining games in the Egyptian league and two in the mini-league – if his side reaches the final stage. The Dervishes are fourth in their group with 31 points, three points behind leaders Petrojet. The winners and runners-up of Group A and B book places in the final four-team mini-league phase, which will determine the eventual champion of the 2013-04 league season. Ismaily's assistant coach Saafan El-Saghir was also handed a four-match ban following his touchline with Zamalek coach Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam during his side's 1-0 win over Zamalek in the Egyptian League. Meanwhile, Zamalek's Mido was fined LE5,000 for missing the post-match news conference.
