CAIRO: The Cavafy International Prize will be announced Monday at 6 pm at the Cairo Opera House. The Cultural and External Relations Sector, the Greek Embassy in Egypt, and the Greek Cultural Center organized the prize. The jury consists of Dr. Amina Rashid, professor of French Literature, Dr. Sahar Al Moogi, a critic and translator, and Hossam Nassar, a poet and first undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture. Greek Ambassador Chris Lazaris will honor the winners for poetry, translation, and prose.
