CAIRO: While the Egyptian High Administrative Court decided to cancel the runoff election, the voting continues, said a judge supervising the elections in the el-Zawya el-Hamra constituency. “We never received any notification to stop the process,” he added. “Neither the High Administrative Court nor the Administrative Court is responsible for such a decision,” the judge continued. “The Court of Cassation is responsible for appeals about the elections.” The el-Zawya el-Hamra polling stations closed at 7:00 p.m. amid the confusion. After polling stations closed, over 200 Freedom and Justice Party supporters helped the police and armed forces secure the polling stations.
