Egyptian Center for Medical Rights Ibn Sina submitted report number 10905 to the public prosecutor on November 30, 2011, demanding an investigation in to the case of importing internationally prohibited gas by the Ministry of Interior. The prohibited gas was used against demonstrators in Tahrir Square from November 19 until November 25. The report called for a neutral committee of analysts to be formed to define the type of tear gas used, investigate the committee that imported the gas, withhold unused tear gas canisters not used by the Interior Ministry and an announcement made by the public prosecution including the investigation's results. The center expressed its readiness to pay all the expenses for analyzing the canisters of tear gas in a European country.
