CAIRO: Newly appointed Egyptian Prime Minister Kamal el-Ganzouri yesterday met with Tareq el-Zomor and Safwat Abdel Ghany, both leaders of the Construction and Development Party. The prime minister's meeting with Gama'a Islamiyya is also with political forces looking to form a new government. Both representatives of the Construction and Development Party assured that they would not support the el-Ganzouri government unless the government does not show support for the former regime. El-Zomor and Ghany underlined that the Party's exit from the crisis includes full security for the electoral process. It is unacceptable that police bullets killed Egyptian citizens, adding that the Interior Minister must be reformed and rehabilitated. The Interior Minister must be a civil minister, they added. They also both called for implementing procedures and urgent projects to activate the economy to stimulate the achievement of January 25 Revolution goals. The two representatives also assured el-Ganzouri that their Party doesn't aim to attain ministerial posts, but added that the following people should be in the new government: Tareq el-Beshry, Ahmed Mekky, Atef el-Bana, Nadia Mostafa, Hassan Nafaa, Essam Sultan, Abdel Moneim Abu el-Fotouh and Safway Hegazy. El-Ganzouri said during the meeting that the government needs the help of Gama'a Islamiyaa to secure the electoral process.
