CAIRO: The Islamic Sharia Committee General at the Lawyers union, which includes a large number of Muslim Brotherhood (MB) lawyers, announced they will congregate by the Lawyers Union headquarters. They will protest against the delay in the announcement of elections results and which indicators point to them to obtaining 27 seats in the council membership. 'We strongly reject the slowing down of the announcement of results and inconsistencies in the reasons for the delay,” said one of MB committee member Ali Kamal. “We will mobilize a large number of supporters from the committee to protest in front of the union tomorrow November 25." Another candidate Osama el-Helw described the delay as “illegal" as it should have been announced straight after the elections. He explained the commission has clear instructions on how to calculate votes and how many positions need filling, claiming the excuse of “not all the votes arrived” is weak and inexcusable.
