AL GHARBIYA, Egypt: The delta city of Tanta witnessed clashes Tuesday night after demonstrators threw Molotov cocktails and stones at the Gharbiya Governorate Security Directorate. Police responded with tear gas. The clashes resulted in the injury of 11, who suffered from fractures and cuts, including 5 conscripts and six demonstrators. Ambulances transferred the injured to Tanta Hospital. Demonstrators burned tires outside the directorate, as well on el-Nady street and Bahr Street. The clashes are ongoing.
