CAIRO: The Egyptian April 6 Youth Movement is ready to send its members to Tahrir Sqaure to support the demonstrators, said Tarik al-Kholy, the spokesman of the Movement. “We however have not yet decided exactly how the Movement will respond to recent developments,” said al-Kholy. He criticized the violent crackdown by the Central Security Forces against demonstrators. “The scene is a repeat of what happened on June 28 during the clashes between Interior Ministry security and the families of January 25 Revolution martyrs,” he continued. He also accused the Interior Ministry and former members of the National Democratic Party of dispatching thugs to incite violence and chaos during Friday's demonstration. He expressed his concern that such clashes would delay the upcoming parliamentary elections, which would serve the interests of those in power who seek to extend the transition period.
