CAIRO: A Japanese expert helped the Egyptian Ministry of Planning create a new pentagonal economic and social development strategy, according to sources within the ministry. The source said this decision was made to use Japanese experience in the field of urban planning. "The expert came according to a request from Minister of International Cooperation and Planning Fayza Aboul Naga," said the source. The source said the decision to assign this strategically important issue to the Japanese experience in urban planning came out of fruitful cooperation and confidence between Japan and Egypt as well.
