CAIRO: Tens of people have gathered outside Marmarcus Church in Cairo's Shubra neighborhood after a reported sighting of the Virgin Mary. The gathering has caused a traffic jam in Shubra's main street. According to reports, the Virgin did not appear at the top of the church but as luminous spectrums behind the nearby Raey el-Sahel Hospital. The church has not confirmed the appearance of the Virgin Mary, according to a source. The source said a committee must release a report to confirm or deny the incident. Tens of Coptic Christians came to Shubra to watch the luminous spectrums until the Virgin Mary appears. One of the Copts, Ayman Gamal, told Youm7 that the Virgin Mary's appearance means to them something good that brings blessings or something bad. He said, “God only knows.” Many Copts left, while others continued to wait for the Virgin Mary to appear. There was other repeated news about the appearance of the Virgin Mary at Massara Church.
