CAIRO: The British Council in Egypt is organizing a conference in Sussex in the United Kingdom to discuss supporting women's rights in the Arab region. The council issued a statement saying the conference will discuss women's rights during the changes in Arab region and the formation of new Arab constitutions. The conference will discuss the best ways to use these changes to include women's rights in Arab countries' new constitutions. Many global experts will participate in the conference. They will share stories of success to enhance women's rights and stories of failure to avoid. Many men and women will attend the conference from Arab countries such as Egypt, Iraq, Jordon, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Oman, Tunisia, and Saudi Arabia. The official spokeswoman representing Egypt is Doaa Abdoul Aal, the Arab regional coordinator for the International Knowledge Network of political activist women in Egypt. The Executive director of the British Council said the council has worked for years with partners in the Middle East in order to enhance women's rights in the Middle East with more education and economic interests.
