Egyptian Minister of Health Amr Helmy traveled to Hurghada Sunday evening to follow up on the Hungarian tourists injured in a major road collision last night. The ministry is preparing a detailed report on the status of the crash survivors. Ministry spokesman Mohammad Sherbini said a total of 11 Hungarians were killed and another 32 people were injured. Four persons in critical condition were airlifted to Cairo. Another 22 injured are being treated at Hurghada General Hospital, five in el-Gouna and five in the Nile Hospital in Hurghada. Last night a bust carrying Hungarian tourists to Hurghada International Airport collided with a truck on the ring road.
