CAIRO: The Egyptian pound today increased 0.05 percent against the U.S. dollar, now worth 5.960 EGP, according to the weekly report issued by the Information and Decision Support Center in the Egyptian Cabinet. However the pound fell 0.4 percent against both the UK Sterling and the Euro, now worth 9.452 EGP and 8.300 EGP respectively. The pound gained 1.2 percent against the Japanese Yen. The value of the U.S. dollar declined against major international currencies last week, with the Euro gaining 1.3 percent against the Dollar. UK Sterling also rose 1.2 percent, or U.S. $0.622, against the Dollar while the Japanese Yen similarly rose 0.3 percent.
