CAIRO: The value of an Egyptian pound decreased against the main currencies over the last week, according to the weekly report of Information and Decision Support Center. The value of the Egyptian pound fell against UK's sterling by 1.2 percent compared to its value last week; 1 £ equals 9.835 EGP. Compared to the Euro, the Egyptian pound went down by 0.9 percent as 1 € equals 8.602 EGP. Egypt's pound also declined against the U.S. dollar by 0.1 percent and Japanese Yen by 0.2 percent. One U.S. dollar equals 5.963 EGP and the yen equals 7.783 EGP. Meanwhile, Exchange rate of main currencies increased against U.S. dollar during last week transaction. The UK sterling went up by 1.3 percent against the U.S. dollar, and the Euro value increased against U.S. dollar by 0.7 percent; as for the Yen, it increased by 0.2 percent against the U.S. dollar.
