Iranian Minister of Defense Ahmed Vahidi said his country is ready to develop military cooperation with recently liberated countries such as Libya, Tunisia and Egypt. Vahidi added that these states are currently witnessing a transitional period. He said his country has no problem with launching relations and cooperation with these states, including military cooperation, but only after democratic regimes are established. Regarding the American theory that Iran was involved in the murder attempt against the Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Adel Al-Jubeir, Vahidi said, "America is trying to drive a wedge between Tehran and Riyadh to promote its role in the region."
