Stock market indexes started its transaction for the week today Sunday 30 of October. Stock indexes witnessed an overall increase, supported by purchases from all Arab and foreign investors, while Egyptian transactions tended to sell, so the market capital summed up to 7.4 billion EGP (U.S. $1.24 million) in today's transactions. Main index EGX30 closed with an increase of 2.6 percent at 4454 points. Medium and small company index EGX70 increased by 0.59 percent, while EGX100 increased by 1.5 percent and the transaction reached 330.5 million EGP (U.S. %55.37 million). Egyptian investors summed up 78 percent of today's transactions with sales of 40.7 million EGP (U.S. $6.82 million) while foreigners summed up 13.7 percent with sales of 35.3 million EGP (U.S. $5.9 million). Arab investors summed up 8.3 percent with sales of 5.4 million EGP (U.S. $905,000). Indexes witnessed a sharp rise including indexes of CIB by 4.2 percent, Talaat Mostafa by 0.82 percent, Citadel by 0.90 percent and Ezz Steel by 1 percent. Indexes of Hermes increased by 2.1 percent, Orascom Telecom by 3.8 percent, Mobinil by 5.7 percent, Palm Hills by 1.4 percent and Public Giza Estates by 2.3 percent.
