It added that there are real dangers threatening the Egyptian revolution and its objectives. In a statement, the shadow government demanded drafting a timetable to transfer power to a civilian authority. It also called to implement the law of political isolation to prevent the members of Egypt's formerly ruling National Democratic Party from participating in Egypt's political life for at least ten years. They also demanded dismissing figures of the former regime from their positions in various institutions and authorities of the state. The statement stressed the need to activate judicial law to pave the way for judicial independence, in addition to suspending military trials of civilians. The shadow government raised the necessity of cleansing Egypt's Ministry of Interior from the leaders of former President Hosni Mubarak's regime to open the door for restructuring this important institution and to restore security in the country. They also demanded the formation of a judicial committee to prosecute Mubarak and the figures of his regime in public trials, especially as the former regime violated the country's national security. It also stressed the need to form a serious parliament that can deal with the problems of the people and express the ambitions of the Egyptians and demanded the government prepare for upcoming parliamentary elections to avoid any violations. They also raised the necessity of reviewing the Camp David peace treaty with Israel to achieve the interests of the country in addition to taking necessary measures to protect the country and citizens. The head of the shadow government of the revolution, Ali Abdel Aziz, said that Friday's demonstrations aim to achieve the objectives of the revolution that have not been met yet, accusing the former regime of breaking the image of the revolution.
