CAIRO: Around 23 flights are expected to fly from Egypt to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, transporting Egyptian pilgrims to Mecca, said Egyptian Pilot Ayman Nassar. Fourteen EgyptAir planes will fly to Jeddah from Cairo Airport and Alexandria, and nine flights will go to Medina, he added. EgyptAir has transported around 5,600 pilgrims from different governorates. EgyptAir will also facilitate another 23 flights Thursday, sending 18 flights to Jeddah and five flights to Medina, Nassar added. By Tuesday around 32,860 pilgrims have been transported to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj, or Islamic pilgrimage.
