No voices are louder than Egyptian judges' voices, especially in issues concerning amending the judicial authority law, said Ahmed el-Zend, the head of the Judges' Club Monday. Zend was commenting on a statement released by the Heads of Courts of Appeal that called to delay amendment of the law until after the parliamentary elections. He said the Egyptian Judiciary could not be reduced to a person, council, or any other party, asserting that Egyptian judges know what is best for them. He added that judges would make decisions regarding this issue at the upcoming general assembly to be held Friday.
