Egyptian authorities deported Koreans who were accused of proselytization in Cairo University. The Koreans were caught handing out publications, trying to convince as many people are they can to convert to Christianity. It is said the Koreans first went to Ain Shams University, then visited Tahrir Square before heading to Cairo University as post-graduate students. Dozens of them were captured as they called for proselytization. They were deported back to Korea as punishment. The administrative security captured them on the Cairo University campus and filed a report against them. Youm7 received copies of the Korean's passports. Two of them, Hyunwoo Pyeon (24) and IIsong (21), speak Arabic fluently. Their passports revealed they previously traveled to many Arab countries, Syria in particular during April and July. They then headed to Algeria and arrived in Cairo in August. Documents revealed they claim they are visited Egypt for tourism and education. They attended Ain Shams and Cairo University, and there had follow ups to their movements inside Ain Shams University. A source from Cairo University said this is the first group to be captured on University campus. The Koreans were captured in the Faculty of Science as they entered the University as post-graduate students.
