CAIRO: Members of the Egyptian National Security system, in the wake of the Maspiro incidents, today warned officials at Cairo University to be aware of East Asian Christian students proselytizing on campus. Such proselytizers are focusing on universities that include many foreign students. Members of the National Security demanded that the officials report any unusual activities within their faculties. National Security officials are not interfering in universities' affairs, some sources claim, but they might if there are issues endangering state security. The Giza prosecution, headed by Ramy Ibrahim and supervised by Megahed Ali, decided to release four Korean students at Ain Shams University last Wednesday. Four Korean students were captured while distributing leaflets calling for proselytizing with Christianity in Cairo University. The prosecution ordered the Korean ambassador to Egypt to deport the students. The Giza Police station received a report from security at Cairo University stating that there were some clashes between Koreans and some students in Islamic groups after it was discovered that the Koreans were proselytizing. The investigation revealed that the students came to the Faculty of Science at Cairo University and started distributing leaflets to the students, and some Islamic groups obtained copies.
