CAIRO: A delegation from the Russia Broom Company will visit the Egyptian Atomic Energy Agency at the end of October, said chairman of the Agency Mohammad Ezzat Abdel Azem. The delegation will discuss ways of modernizing the first research factor of Inshas, established in the 1950s with a 2-megawatt capacity. Abdel Azem told Youm7 negotiations with the Russian company ended after the company insisted on applying the Russian Law on the reactor but the Agency did not give up on the application of the Egyptian Law. The Agency conducted a feasibility study to modernize the reactor in the safest way for Egypt to benefit from. The Agency sent an Egyptian committee to make decisions and legislation of State Council to propose and modernize the nuclear reactor.
