CAIRO: The Egyptian Military Prosecution decided to imprison 21 people accused of inciting sectarian violence that aroused between Egyptian Coptic Christians and Military Forces outside Maspiro on Sunday October 9. The accused are sentenced to 15 days in prison for investigation, reported the DPA from Human Rights activists. The prosecution accused them of certain crimes, including sabotaging army equipment, destroying public property, and attacking military forces with guns, knives and blades. The clashes led to the death of 3 soldiers and injuring several others and the death toll of civilians reached 26 and injuries of 372, according to the Egyptian Ministry of Health. Meanwhile, the Egyptian Public Prosecution investigation said forensic reports revealed there are four causes of deaths during the Maspiro clashes: live and rubber bullets shots; armored vehicles running over demonstrators; demonstrators attacking one another; and heavy blows of stones hurled at demonstrators.
