Three hundred engineers working in air navigation announced a protest at the Air Navigation headquarters Sunday. Protestors said they negotiated a partial strike for eight hours Monday to not delay work or cause confusion during arrivals or departures. Engineers and workers organized a march from Cairo Airport to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, calling to oust Captain Mohy Ragheb, the head of the Air Navigation Company and the head of the Air Control Sector. Engineers criticized the allocation of company resources to air control workers while ignoring the other departments. They asked to change the budget and to contract with an international company to restructure the company, in order to ensure impartiality. Engineers and workers said they would strike until their demands are replied to, especially after being attacked by thugs.
