An international conference will be held in Washington, D.C. under the title, "The Egyptian Revolution: The way to democracy and development." The conference will be held October 21-25. The American-Egyptian Assembly and the Egyptian Association for Change and Development organized the conference. It will include Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf, representatives from the American congress, potential Egyptian presidential candidates and representatives of Egyptian political powers. The conference will discuss the challenges that face the Egyptian revolution and how to realize its goals. It will discuss the right of Egyptians abroad to vote and to choose their representative inside the parliament. It will also discuss the American-Egyptian vision for the future of Egypt and the vision of religious trends. The conference will include ways to preserve the revolution's gains, realize democracy and end the Emergency Law.
