A group of expatriate Egyptian scientists and broadcasters living abroad arrived in Cairo to hold their first conference at the Fours Season hotel on Saturday October 8. They will launch the first non-profit economical foundation including all Egyptian unions abroad entitled "Egypt, the hope." Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf, presidential candidate Amr Moussa and Minister of Finance Hazem al-Beblawy were invited to the conference entitle ‘Egyptians abroad,' along with a group of economic scholars and political party chairmen. Head of the American Islamic center and public coordinator of Egyptians abroad, Mohamed al-Gamal, said they did not yet decide to return to Egypt. This is why they launched this foundation, to provide Egypt with the most logistic support and developmental thoughts. Al-Gamal said there are three basic axis to be executed. First they decided to execute a national housing project, since the foundation is about to hold consultations with the Ministry of Housing to be a non-profit partner in the million housing units project and be available for youth at the cost's price. The second axis is to start a partnership with the government to develop education, after some scientists who joined the foundation set plans to develop curriculums in Egypt. Each student will be provided with a computer, especially in the rural places. The third axis focus on narrowing the gap of food and starvation by increasing agricultural space at the borders, such as Sinai and Nubia.
