CAIRO: Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, head of Egypt's ruling military council, laid wreaths of flowers on the Monument to the Unknown Soldier in Cairo's Nasr City neighborhood today. He also laid a wreath on the tomb of late Egyptian President Anwar Sadat in honor of the 38th anniversary of Egypt's October 6 victory. He also recited holy Quran for the souls of the military martyrs. Commander of the Second Field Army Mohammad Farid, governor of Ismailia and Ismalia security director, laid wreaths of flowers on the Monument to the Unknown Soldier to commemorate the martyrs. Meanwhile the Commander of the Third Field Army Seddqi Sobhi laid another wreath on Monument to the Unknown Soldier of the martyrs of Third Field Army in Suez governorate. Other commanders in other governorates laid many wreaths on the Monuments to the Unknown Soldiers across Egypt.
