CAIRO: Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf today said that the state appreciates the role of teachers and considers the development of education a primary project on the road to Egyptian prosperity. Sharaf urged teachers to start a new era of development and building, adding that the state is very interested in meeting demands, but that strikers should be aware of the current economic crisis. “The national economy will benefit all society,” he added. The Council of Ministries approved the Education Ministry's plan to promote 600 teachers, allowing each teacher to receive a legal bonus.
