CAIRO: Egyptian Army Chief of Staff Sami Anan met with Lt. Gen. David L. Goldfein, Commander of the U.S. Air Forces' Southwest Asia Central Command, who visited Cairo on Monday. The meeting tackled mutual interests in light of bilateral military relations between Egypt and the U.S. Goldfein assumed his office at U.S. Air Forces Central Command, Southwest Asia, on August 3, 2011. His visit to Egypt is the first after Egypt's January 25 Revolution that toppled former President Hosni Mubarak and his regime from power.
