Mubarak to Kuwaiti lawyers: I will never forget your support

CAIRO: Social networking sites Facebook and Twitter have reported a conversation between former President Hosni Mubarak and one of the Kuwaiti lawyers who has volunteered assistance to Mubarak, currently facing murder charges.
“I will never forget your support,” Mubarak told the Kuwaiti lawyers
Bashayer Habib, one of the Kuwaiti lawyers, said the lawyers met Mubarak during his trial sessions and that the ousted president praised the Kuwaiti people.
Gamal Mubarak, the former president's younger son, asked the Kuwaiti lawyers to continue their defense and welcomed their help.
Habib also said the Kuwaiti lawyers are defending Mubarak and his sons only. He added that defending Egypt's former president will not cause any trouble for the Kuwaiti government.
“We are not looking for fame,” said Habib.
The lawyers confirmed that they meet Mubarak's relatives in their hotel in Cairo. Mubarak's relatives welcomed the lawyers and said they will defend Mubarak until they can prove his innocence.
“We must not focus on a man's disadvantages and forget his good deeds. The Egyptian judiciary is honest and fair and Mubarak is not like [Libya's] Muammar Gadhafi or [Syria's] Bashar al-Assad. Mubarak has great achievements,” said Habib.
Former Minister of Interior Habib al-Adly and six of his assistants are also defendants in the case against Mubarak.
