Mohamed Adel, a member of the influential April 6 Youth Movement, today accused those sympathetic to ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak of being responsible for the violence against Giza's Security Directorate. “Gamal Mubarak and Habib al-Adly hired people commit violence that could spread chaos in Egypt and impede the trial of Mubarak and al-Adly,” Adel said. “Journalists and activists revealed that certain persons were involved with the fire set to criminal evidence related to the Interior Ministry,” he continued. “Others were involved in the burning of central security trucks to attempt to smear the image of the revolution and the demonstrators protesting on September 9.” “Mubarak's supporters want to impede the trial, especially before the testimonies of Field Marshal Tantawi and Anan,” Adel said. “There are some Arab countries that pay significant amounts of money to organized groups to smear the revolution and spread chaos in Egypt.” Adel demanded that the youth of the revolution thwart such attempts at instability.
