A member of the political office of the April 6 Movement, Mohamed Adel, demanded Egypt's public prosecutor to release the political activists imprisoned outside the police academy during the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's trial. He added 22 activists were arrested during their attempt to protect the January 25 Revolution martyrs' families during clashes between Mubarak's supporters and protesters in front of the police academy. Adel criticized the arrest of the activists, since they were protected the families of the martyrs. He added the April 6 Movement will support any activist suffering from prosecution or any violation against their rights to express their opinion. Adel added the attack against the families of the martyrs was planned by what he described as ‘Mubarak's thugs.' He said the real criminals are the Sons of Mubarak, who appeared in front of the prosecution and planed to incite against the Egyptian citizens and their attempts to impede justice during Mubarak's trial.
