The tourism and entertainment index witnessed a serious decline during the stock market session yesterday. It was the leading retreating sector in the stock market; all its stocks declined except the stocks of Pyramisa and Misr hotel, which rose at the rate of 2.95 percent and 8.15 percent respectively. The Orascom Holding Company stock declined at the rate of 2.98 percent, Remco for Touristic Villages Construction (RTVC) declined at the rate of 0.75 percent, and Sharm Dreams for Tourism Investment stock declined at the rate of 0.50 percent. On the other hand, the banks' sector was on the top of the stock market sectors. Its index rose at the rate of 1.65 percent and gained 21 index points. Almost all bank stocks witnessed a noticeable rise except Baraka-Misr bank's stock, which declined yesterday. The session coincided with the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's trial yesterday without drastic effects.
