CAIRO: Work on the Djoser Step Pyramid at Saqqara will resume on Sunday, according to Atef Abu Dahab, head of the Egyptian antiques sector in the Supreme Council of Antiques (SCA). Abu Zahab the SCA funding sector is able to pay the restoration company the funds it is owed. The head of the project sector, Mohamed Sheikha, met with company members in order to resume restoration works. Djoser, considered to be Egypt's oldest pyramid, is in danger because the restoration company stopped work when the SCA stopped payments.
