CAIRO: There was intense security in Cairo's Tahrir Square this morning after brief clashes last night. Egyptian army and Central Security forces spread across the square and all routes leading to the square after brief clashes between a group of revolutionary youth who tried to enter the square's central garden. The youth threw stones at the Central Security Forces, which lead to clashes between both sides. CSF were able to control the situation when the protestors entered the grassy area in the square. When the clashes ended, hundreds of citizens returned to celebrate the third day of Eid el-Fitr, the three-day feast following the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, without further clashes.
