Traffic has nearly ground to a halt in some governorates, and lines at petrol stations have grown longer. Petro dealers selling black market petrol have exacerbated the situation. Many Egyptian governorates are suffering from a growing black market, particularly those facing large petrol deficits. Drivers in the Egyptian Delta governorate of Sharqia crowded before petrol stations to buy Petrol 80 and 90, while other stations have closed because they have ran out of petrol.
