The 11th Berlin International Literature festival will be held from September 7 to 11, hosting more than 140 authors from 52 countries. The festival strives to celebrate and encourage literary diversity in the age of globalization. The Berlin International Literature Festival is one of the largest book festivals in Germany, which holds up to 200 events annually. This year's focus is literature from the Asian-Pacific region. This year authors include Chilean author Isabel Allende, English author A.S Bayat, American author Chuck Palahuink and many others. The festival includes a variety of lectures and events for children, including film screenings, graphic novel workshops, and events to commemorate the September 11 bombings of the World Trade Center.
