US Ambassador visits Sultan Hassan Mosque

CAIRO: United States Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson recently visited Sultan Hassan Mosque in Cairo's Qalaa neighborhood.
Famous Egyptian author Gamal Getani invited Patterson to visit the archeological site and accompanied her during the visit.
The visit took 15 minutes. Patterson arrived the mosque at 9 am.
"Vibrant Egyptian history tellis a lot about pluralism of heritage and adopting new ideas," said Patterson.
Patterson met group of American tourists in the mosque and welcomed them saying, "Welcome back to Egypt."
Patterson's visit is one of many to historical and archeological sites in Cairo.
