Egyptian Minister of Health Amr Hilmi decided to transfer his deputy minister in Red Sea governorate, Dr. Osama Abdel Azeem, to the ministry in Cairo at Red Sea Governor Mahmoud Assem's request. Assem told Youm7 that the Abdel Azeem is a great doctor but is incapable of controlling things in the health directorate. Mahfouz said Abdel Azeem incites seasonal labor to strike and has a negative attitude towards the improvements he was assigned to implement in government hospitals. Dr Abdel Azeem said that he was not evaluated and had only taken his position 10 day ago, and received unfair treatment. Assem also said the Abdel Azeem asked for 5 million EGP (U.S. $840,000) to buy, maintain, and repair medical equipment, and didn't take any other action. The Minister of Health will issue a decision to appoint the Director of the Health Directorate in Qalyubia governorate to be the new deputy minister in Red Sea governorate.
