Israeli media considered Egypt's decision to withdraw the Egyptian Ambassador in Israel, Yasser Reda, as a serious escalation that will cause an end to diplomatic relationships and breaking Camp David Peace Treaty. Israeli press said the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak protected the interests and security of Israel. The Israeli radio and newspapers, Haaretz, Yediot Ahronot, Maariv and the Jerusalem Post said the upcoming phase will be a hard test for Israeli-Egyptian relationships. These relationships were affected by the Egyptian January 25 Revolution and the falling of Mubarak. The Egyptian administration approved national pressure of ending relations between Tel Aviv and Cairo. Egypt took unprecedented procedures with Israeli aggression in north Sinai. Egypt called back its Ambassador in Israel, asked for an apology from Israeli officials for killing Egyptian soldiers on the borders and called the Israeli Ambassador in Cairo to investigate about the aggression. Israeli media claimed Egypt blames Israel for killing the Egyptian soldiers. They claim Egypt lost security control over Sinai, therefore the terrorists who attacked in Eilat entered Israel through Egyptian borders. Israeli media said the national pressures in Egypt are the reasons of withdrawal of the Egyptian Ambassador from Israel in 2000. Egyptians refused Israel could use excessive force against the second Palestinian revolution, Intifada. It should be mentioned the Israeli-Egyptian relationship was affected by the January 25 Revolution by overthrowing former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, who was Israel's strategy treasure. The relationships weakened more after the opening of Rafah border crossing for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and when he Egyptian government asked for raising costs of gas-export.
