Achieving security is an essential condition for economic growth in Egypt, according to Giza's governor. "Egypt's security is a necessity to achieve economic stability," Governor Ali Abdel Rahman told a press conference at the Water Police Club. Abdel Rahman said investors must be provided with complete protection in order to provide jobs for youth. Members of the 6 October Investors Organization told Abdel Rahman that investments in 6 October City amount to 40 billion EGP (U.S. $6.7 billion). The governor expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of all sectors of society to protect the governorate, and pointed to the Cairo Book Fair's location in a crowded Giza street as an indication that Giza Governorate is secure and safe. "There is coherence between people and police in Giza Governorate," said Abdeen Youssef, director of Giza security. Youssef added that police forces cannot do their jobs properly without the people's cooperation. “Security can not be achieved without the participation of all society and all state systems," Youssef said.
