CAIRO: Governor Ali Abdel Rahman ratified an architecture scheme for the investment and industry area in October 6 City, a major Cairo suburb. The scheme aims to increase the city's economic potential for 130 projects that will be established in the area. Abdel Rahman met with the General Organization for Physical Planning and Investors Association of the first Cairo-Alexandria Desert road to discuss the scheme. The governorate will provide all the facilities to construct housing unities, hotels, and administrative buildings to create more than 100,000 job opportunities and to lift the living standard in urban society. The area will be divided into 50 percent green land and 50 percent buildings and roads, he added. Ten projects will get licenses to begin the construction. The project will cost between 500 million to one billion EGP (U.S. $85-170 million), so it will cause an essential change in the development. Abdel Rahman said he is keen to provide all facilities to achieve the deployment goals which represent employing youth and encouraging investment during Egypt's current critical economic times.
