The Cairo Atelier will screen the documentary film "Leather Chairs" on Wednesday, followed by a seminar with the director, Imad Ernst. The film depicts the governmental corruption that eventually led to the outbreak of Egypt's January 25 Revolution Ernst filmed in the fishing villages in the governorates of Suez and Ismailia, to show the suffering of fishermen who are in cities far from the capital. He mostly focused on Suez since the initial spark that brought about the revolution started there, according to him. Ernst is an Egyptian director and artist, born in Minya in1968. He studied at the High Institute of Cinema and graduated in 1993, worked for a period of time as an assistant director, then became director of short documentaries and film. He has directed and produced 14 films so far including 12 independent films. He has participated in many local and international festivals and won the Jury prize in the 2004 National film festival.
